The education family, comprising the Department of Education in Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA and the parents forum, has bestowed an Award of Excellence upon the LCDA chairman, Hon Rasaq Ajala (HRA).
According to a statement, the award was aimed at honouring the remarkable contributions of the council boss to the education sector within the LCDA.
The award was presented by a delegation led by Hon. Quadri Yori Bola Faiz, the Supervisor for Education, on Tuesday August 6, 2024.
Faiz was accompanied by the Head of the Department of Education, along with members of the Parents Forum.
This accolade is a testament to the HRA’s unwavering dedication and tireless efforts to enhance educational standards and opportunities within the community.
In his acceptance speech, HRA expressed profound gratitude for the recognition and pledged to intensify efforts towards the advancement of education.
“I am deeply honoured by this award and the trust you have placed in me,” he remarked. “This acknowledgment only strengthens my resolve to work even harder for the betterment of our educational system.”
He further assured the gathering that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to prioritizing education in its policies and programmes.
“Education is the cornerstone of the progress of our society, and our government will continue to support and prioritize it in all our projects and initiatives,” he affirmed.
