The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos State Chapter has inaugurated a new local chapter.
This significant event took place under the leadership of Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan (MNSE), marking a pivotal milestone in the council’s efforts to ensure the sustainability of its structures and expand its reach.
The inauguration ceremony, held with much fanfare, was attended by key NYCN officials and youth leaders, including Vice Chairman Lagos East Senatorial District, Comr. Asoro Abubakar; Deputy Secretary, Comr. Rasheedat Adekola; Assistant P.R.O, Comr. Choice Ukpai; Legal Adviser, Barr. Adeleke Shoroyewun; Program Officer, Comr. Akintobi Olalekan; Assistant Program Officer, Comr. Basheer; and Ikeja NYCN Coordinator, Comr. Blessing.
The newly inaugurated executives of the local chapter are:

- Social Secretary: Dolapo Abdul
- Auditor: Sodiq Mutallib
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Leader of the Legislative House, the Deputy Leader of the House, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Chairman, SSA on Media to the Chairman of Bariga LCDA, HOD Agric, CPS to the Chairman of Bariga LCDA, Chief of Staff to the Chairman NYCN, and members of the Lagos State Youth Parliament representing Shomolu 1 & 2.
In his address, the state chairman congratulated the youth of the Bariga local chapter and the newly inaugurated executives.
He urged them to embrace excellence in their service to the youth community. The chairman’s speech echoed the council’s relentless dedication to nurturing future leaders and fostering a spirit of unity and progress among the youth.
The newly inaugurated coordinator, Olonitola Caleb, alongside his team, pledged their unwavering commitment to serving the youths of Bariga in alignment with the NYCN constitution. Their resolve to drive positive change and development within the community stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration for many.
