As protests continue in different parts of our nation, i’m inspired to urge you to focus on your own personal situation and protest with prayers in your private chamber.
You don’t have to go to any mountain to pray. God can hear your prayers even in your bedroom.
Prayer is an underestimated resource for affecting social change.
For those who are spiritually inclined and enlightened, prayer is a powerful form of protest that can yield faster results than physical protests(either peaceful or violent) and demonstrations.
Here are some prayer points you can use to express your concerns and seek God’s guidance at such difficult times as this(you can add your own prayer points, please)
- Prayer for Justice:
“Lord, i come before You seeking justice for the wrongs that have been done by our leaders at different levels of government. Please intervene and bring fairness and righteousness to our situation in Nigeria 🇳🇬. Father, touch and influence the hearts of our leaders to do the right things”
- Prayer for Strength and Courage:
“Heavenly Father, grant me the strength and courage to stand up for what is right. Help me to remain steadfast and unwavering in my faith in these trying times”
- Prayer for Wisdom and Guidance:
“God, i ask for your wisdom and guidance in navigating this challenging time. Show me the path i should take and the actions i should pursue in order to secure your blessings and be saved from hardships with my family.”
- Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation
“Lord, i pray for peace and reconciliation in our nation, Nigeria🇳🇬.
Soften hearts and open minds so that understanding and harmony can prevail.”
- Prayer for Protection:
“Father, please protect me and those involved in the protest all over the country. Shield us and our family members from harm and keep us safe under Your watchful care.”
- Prayer for Patience and Trust:
“God, help me to be patient and to trust you for your divine intervention in the affairs of our country, Nigeria 🇳🇬 ”
I am convinced beyond every reasonable doubt that we serve a God that answers prayers. It’s only God that can meet your needs even with the best of government in power.
As we take our protests to God in prayers, I see our situations change for the better.
We shall surely overcome our present economic situation. Surely, better days are coming 🙏.
