The Chairman, Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Ajala, (HRA) has urged members of the Elites Club, Mushin to vote and reelect all APC candidates in the 2023 general elections.
HRA convassed the members during the club’s annual end-of-year/get-together party organised in Mushin on Friday December 30, 2022.
In his speech, HRA commended the club members for the role they are playing in Mushin community and their efforts to correct the negative narrative about Mushin.
He stated that Mushin over time is synonymous with negativity, but it is worthy of note that there are great people from all walks of life in the community who have caught a niche for themselves in their various careers, businesses and organizations.
“I tell whoever cares to listen that I am very proud of Mushin and let them know that Mushin is made up of the good, the bad and the ugly just like it is applicable in the other highbrow areas of the city
“The difference however is the percentage, and I know Mushin Elites Club is among the good ones,” Ajala said.
“Giving your contributions individually and collectively in the political architecture of Lagos State, it is important you don’t sit on the fence
“We must get involved as opinion molders in our community, we must be ready to inform the people the people to vote for,” he said.
“If we are not involved, we will have to do with any idiot that get into power
“We must guide our people right without sentiment so that posterity will judge our actions and in actions in the future,” he stressed.
He called on the people to choose the right person for the position of the president of the country.
“It shouldn’t be about ethnicity or religion; we must vote someone that has a track record of performance among the contestants
“I am bold to say that the challenges we are having in the country is insecurity and economic
“You must agree with me that the security in Lagos State is not what it used to be before Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu became governor of the state till date,” he said.
“On Economic, Asiwaju Tinubu has improved the revenue of the state to what it is today
“He set the template and it has grown to what it is,” he stated.
He therefore urged the gathering to encourage and educate the people to come out in their large numbers to vote rightly.
He equally solicited the people to vote and re-elect Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu as the Governor of Lagos State; Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule for the Lagos State West Senatorial District; Hon. Taofik Adeyemi Alli for the House of Representatives Mushin Constituency 1; Hon. Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya for the Lagos State House of Assembly Mushin Constituency 1.
