Kwara State is straddled between the South-West and the North, providing a major link for business purposes and travels among motorists conveying food items; both perishable and non-perishable goods to especially Lagos where the bulk of it is consumed by its burgeoning population.
This for many years has made Kwara a cynosure of commercial activities which to a large extent comes with its challenges that borders on security of lives and these properties given the rise in insecurity challenges in the various parts of the country.
One thing that has however, made the state relatively peace in the face of the current security challenges facing the country is the commitment and proactiveness of the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq whose understanding and determination to keep safe is majorly responsible for the relative peace and safety that has been recorded over the last couple of years.
The Governor has followed through with provision of security vans to the various security agencies and guards in his first four years in office with provision of another security vans deployed to the sixteen local government areas to bolster security operations across the state.
In a bid to sustain this tempo in tackling all forms of insecurity across the state, security operatives in partnership with Kwara State Government conducted security surveillance in Isin LGA and its environs in order to restore peace and safety to rural communities in the state.
Similar reconnaissance activities were carried out in Oro-Ago, Oko and other adjoining communities in keeping a promise by the AbdulRazaq administration to safeguard the security of lives and properties of the citizens.
Recall that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has at different times procured security vans to the various security agencies in the state to enable them to deliver on their core mandate of providing security especially in the hinterlands.
It is important to note that the decision of the governor to boost the confidence of the security personnel in the areas of logistics support has drastically reduced insecurity and bolstered surveillance activities in rural communities across the state.
