Team Kwara has harvested two gold medals in the male and female singles final categories of squash event at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.
Kwara’s Shuaib Giwa and Khadijat Abdulraheem walloped their challengers to win the medals for the state.
Fielding questions from journalists after the event, Shuaib said he had to step up his game, adhering to instructions from his coach to beat his Lagos State opponent who used to beat him before the Games.
In her own chat with journalists, Khadijat thanked the state government and the Sports Commission for the motivation and support before the Games.
