Ibeshe, a community located in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, is facing a crisis as residents express their frustration over the deteriorating road conditions and a severe lack of stable power supply.
Local inhabitants are reaching out to the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, seeking immediate intervention.
“This kind of road does not befit Lagos State, considering its status in the country.”
During a recent visit by The Naija News correspondent to Ibeshe, the deplorable state of the roads was painfully evident, prompting residents to make a heartfelt plea for help.
Residents are imploring Governor Sanwo-Olu to address the road issue urgently, emphasising that such conditions are unworthy of Lagos State’s esteemed status in the country.
In addition to the road predicament, residents are also grappling with an extended period of inadequate power supply.
For over a week, the community has experienced a complete blackout, with no apparent reasons provided for this disruption.
The dire state of infrastructure and basic services has left residents disillusioned, with many feeling that their quality of life does not align with the expectations associated with living in Lagos.
“The kind of life residents live here does not show that we are living in Lagos.”
