19-year-old Hajara Ibrahim Dan’azumi from Gombe State, Nigeria, has made history by winning the coveted title of the world’s best Quran reciter.
The accolade was awarded to her during the 18th Women’s International Hashemite Competition for Quran Memorization held in Jordan, where she impressed judges and audiences alike.
Hajara faced tough competition, going head-to-head with participants from 40 countries. Demonstrating her exceptional skill in the 60 Hizb category with Tajwid, she achieved an outstanding score of 99.5.
This victory not only highlights her personal dedication to her craft but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for young girls across Africa and beyond, proving that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
