The Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS) at the University of Ilorin is undertaking a transformative project to rejuvenate the garden situated between the Animal Production Laboratory and the Agronomy Laboratory.
This initiative, driven by the “Uplifting the Standard Administration” under the leadership of Comr. Bello Jamiu Afolabi (JAGO), aims to create a greener and more aesthetically pleasing Faculty of Agriculture campus.
The project embodies the association commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
By transforming the existing garden space, the students aim to foster a serene and vibrant environment that not only enhances the visual appeal of the campus but also serves as a living laboratory for agricultural studies.
The initiative is set to provide a practical, hands-on learning experience for students, aligning with the core values of the Faculty of Agriculture.
Under the visionary leadership of Comr. Bello Jamiu Afolabi, the NAAS team has mobilized resources and garnered support from faculty members and fellow students.
The “Uplifting the Standard Administration” has outlined a comprehensive plan for the garden’s transformation, which includes the planting of diverse flora, the installation of sustainable irrigation systems, and the creation of recreational spaces for students and faculty members.
