The Oracle of Community Journalism, a Mushin-based group, has officially introduced the advertorial poster of its community newspaper, “The Town.”
The announcement was made by the CEO and Editor-in-chief of the community-based newspaper, Mr. Lawal Gbadegesin, during an event held on Sunday July 28, 2024.
The Town, which will be officially launched soon, aims to deliver relevant and timely news directly to Lagos residents.
According to Mr. Gbadegesin, the newspaper is crafted to cover a wide range of local events, issues, and personalities, offering an in-depth look at the community’s heartbeat.
He stated that The Town Newspaper publication will also report news and updates of information from around the local grassroots community around Lagos and not based in Mushin and Odiolowo-Ojuwoye only
“The newspaper is designed to bring relevant news to the doorstep of our residents. This magazine will cover events within Mushin and Odiolowo-Ojuwoye and beyond” said Gbadegesin.
He added, “We will profile personalities and their contributions to the community, promoting their services and achievements.”
Gbadegesin emphasised the commitment of the publication to impartiality and accuracy, stating that The Town will report unbiased news and provide verified information to its readers.
This dedication to integrity in journalism is expected to set a new standard for community-based reporting in the area.
The launch event also served as an introduction to the team of seasoned media experts behind The Town. The team includes:
