In a resolute move against recent governmental decisions, the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Lagos State Branch, has joined a strike set to commence on Monday, June 3rd, 2024.
The directive, issued in alignment with the National Body of the union and endorsed by the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), aims to address two crucial issues: the recent hike in electricity tariff and the lingering discussions concerning a new National Minimum Wage.
The announcement, communicated through an official notice, mandates all members to participate in the industrial action until further notice.
Secretary of the Association, Aladetan Abiodun, emphasised the necessity of the strike as a means to advocate for the interests of civil servants and demand actionable resolutions from the government.
