The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, embarked on an official visit to the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) in Alausa-Ikeja on Wednesday.
Agoro’s visit underscored the importance placed on the well-being of People with Disabilities (PWDs) in the state, as he engaged with the General Manager of LASODA, Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, and extended discussions with the dedicated management and staff of the agency.
During the visit, the head of service expressed the government’s dedication to fostering an inclusive society where the rights and needs of people with disabilities are prioritized.
According to Agoro, the visit was a resounding demonstration of the commitment of Lagos State government to inclusivity and the welfare of its residents.
Agoro commended LASODA’s efforts in advocating for and addressing the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, recognizing the pivotal role the agency plays in promoting accessibility and equal opportunities.
Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal warmly welcomed Agoro and his delegation, emphasizing the vital role LASODA plays in promoting social integration and removing barriers that hinder the full participation of PWDs in various aspects of life.
The general manager highlighted ongoing initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing the lives of people with disabilities, ranging from vocational training to accessibility projects.
The head of service, in reaffirming the government’s commitment, pledged continued support to LASODA’s initiatives, assuring that policies and programs would be continually developed to ensure a more inclusive Lagos for everyone.
