The newly appointed Director-General of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC), Hon. Rinsola Abiola, has officially assumed duty, pledging to strengthen the institution, forge strategic partnerships, and prioritise the welfare of its workforce.
In a statement personally issued by the new DG, she confirmed that her assumption of office took place yesterday and was marked by a formal introduction to both the senior management and the wider staff of the Centre.
“Yesterday, I assumed office as DG CLTC, and was formally introduced to our esteemed staff and senior management. I assured them of my commitment to strengthening the Centre, forging strategic partnerships and prioritising staff welfare,” Abiola stated.
As part of her first day in office, she convened a meeting with senior management where departmental heads presented situation reports on their respective areas of operation. She noted that these reports were both informative and instructive, providing a clearer picture of the Centre’s current status and operational realities.
“I also held a meeting with senior management. Each departmental head provided a situation report; the insights gained will be very useful as we work to chart a path forward for CLTC,” she explained.
Abiola, who takes on the role with a mandate to improve institutional efficiency and relevance, expressed her appreciation for the warm reception she received from staff and management. She also emphasised her eagerness to work in close collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure the Centre meets its objectives in training and leadership development.
“I am thankful for the warm reception and I certainly look forward to working closely with all stakeholders,” she added.
The Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre is a federal government agency dedicated to developing responsible and effective citizens through leadership training, community service, and nation-building initiatives.
