Joy Mojisola Raimi, a 24-year-old graduate of the University of Port Harcourt representing Osun State, has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025.
The announcement was made by media mogul and founder of the Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, via a post on X.com.
The grand finale of the highly anticipated national pageant took place at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, where 37 contestants from across Nigeria vied for the prestigious title.

Joy Raimi emerged victorious after a captivating performance and inspiring final round speech that resonated with both judges and the audience.
Raimi’s journey to the crown was deeply personal and emotionally charged. In the final round, she opened up about her challenging childhood, revealing that she was raised without a mother and faced constant bullying from her caregiver.
“I was told I would never amount to anything,” she said. “But here I am, standing tall, wearing this crown not just for myself but for every girl who has ever been told she’s not enough.”
Passionate about humanitarian work, Raimi is the founder of The Love for Humanity project, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to spreading kindness and restoring faith in humanity. Her advocacy for compassion and resilience further solidified her place as a true “Beauty with a Purpose,” the core ethos of the Miss World pageant.
Raimi outshone her fellow finalists representing Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia States to clinch the title. As Miss World Nigeria 2025, she will go on to represent the country at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad, India, scheduled to take place from May 7 to May 31. She will compete against delegates from over 140 countries.
The victory marks a significant milestone for Raimi and a proud moment for Osun State, as she prepares to showcase Nigeria’s grace, strength, and cultural richness on the global stage.
