In the spirit of Christmas, the Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala, has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Christian community within the LCDA. In a message released on Christmas Day, Hon. Ajala reflected on the essence of the season and its significance for love, unity, and peace.
“Dear Christian Residents of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, I bring you warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations as we celebrate this joyous season of Christmas. This occasion, which commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, is a time to reflect on the profound message of love, humility, and sacrifice that He exemplified throughout His life,” Ajala remarked.
The chairman highlighted the spiritual significance of Christmas, noting it as a reminder of God’s love and a call to live in harmony. “Christmas reminds us of the boundless love of God, who sent His Son into the world as a light to guide humanity toward peace and righteousness,” he said.
Hon. Ajala called on residents to embody the teachings of Jesus Christ by fostering kindness, compassion, and unity within the community. “Let us remember the teachings of Jesus Christ, who said, ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’ (Mark 12:31), and strive to make this season a blessing to those around us, especially the less privileged,” he urged.
While encouraging joyous celebrations, the LCDA chairman also emphasized the importance of moderation and adherence to public decorum. “Avoid activities that could disrupt public order or contravene the laws of Lagos State. Let us ensure that our celebrations align with the values of peace, sanity, and respect for one another,” he advised.
Hon. Ajala concluded his message with a note of assurance and optimism for the coming year. “On behalf of the leadership and staff of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, I congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on this significant occasion. May the joy, peace, and blessings of Christmas remain with you and your families throughout this season and beyond,” he said.
