“The suspect admitted to knowing the deceased, identified as Darasimi, who he lured to his residence with the intent to kill her,” Odutola said.
She further revealed that Yemitan confessed to the heinous crime, naming two accomplices—his twin brother, Kehinde Yemitan, and another individual known as Kazeem (surname unknown).

“The dismembered body has been deposited at the General Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta morgue for a post-mortem examination,” the PPRO added.
Efforts are underway to apprehend the accomplices and locate the victim’s relatives. Yemitan is currently in police custody and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.

Residents have praised the swift action of the police and local security operatives in ensuring the suspect was apprehended before he could carry out further acts.
The police assured the public of their commitment to bringing all involved to justice.
