The Nigerian Universities Games Association (NUGA) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), on her appointment as the Chairman of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of State Universities in Nigeria (CVC-SUN).
In a letter dated December 5, 2024, signed by the Acting Secretary, Yunusa M. Bazza, NUGA hailed the appointment as “well-deserved,” recognizing her exemplary leadership. The letter commended Prof. Olatunji-Bello’s “remarkable track record in university administration and [her] dedicated advocacy for university sports.” It further expressed optimism about the future of university sports under her guidance: “We firmly believe that under your guidance, NUGA will thrive and achieve even greater success.”
Prof. Olatunji-Bello, who was appointed Chairman of the CVC-SUN in November 2024, has been widely celebrated for her strategic vision and dedication to academic excellence and sports development in Nigerian universities.
