Dr. Imam Daud Olorungboebe, the Mogaji Imam of the Ọmọteji Family in Ibadan, has joined the Muslim community in mourning the loss of Sheik Muyideen Ajani Bello, a distinguished Islamic scholar and spiritual guide whose life was devoted to spreading knowledge and faith.
“Sheik Muyideen Ajani Bello exemplified the beauty of Islamic character. His kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment to truth left an indelible mark on everyone who encountered him. His legacy of knowledge will continue to guide generations to come,” Dr. Olorungboebe expressed with profound sorrow.
Known for his humility, eloquence, and deep understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah, Sheik Bello’s teachings were a beacon of hope and guidance for many. Through lectures, writings, and personal interactions, he transformed lives and inspired countless individuals to strengthen their faith and pursue righteousness.
Reflecting on the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): “When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: a continuous charity, knowledge by which people derive benefit, or a pious child who prays for them” (Sahih Muslim), Dr. Olorungboebe highlighted the enduring impact of Sheik Bello’s contributions to Islam.
As the community bids farewell to this beacon of knowledge and faith, prayers are being offered for Sheik Bello’s elevation to the highest ranks of Jannah, the forgiveness of his shortcomings, and strength for his family and students.
