A Taste of Christmas Magic
The four friends spent the next few days helping Mama Ebun prepare for the Christmas market. They worked tirelessly, cooking, baking, and packaging traditional Christmas treats like puff-puff, akara, and coconut rice.
As they worked, Mama Ebun regaled them with stories of her childhood Christmases, of laughter, love, and family gatherings. The four friends listened, entranced, feeling a sense of wonder and excitement they hadn’t felt in years.
On the day of the Christmas market, the four friends woke up early, feeling like kids on Christmas morning. They helped Mama Ebun set up her stall, and as the market opened, they eagerly began selling their wares.
The response was overwhelming. People flocked to Mama Ebun’s stall, drawn by the delicious smells and tastes of her traditional Christmas treats. The four friends worked tirelessly, selling, laughing, and joking with the customers.
As the day wore on, the four friends began to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. They were making a difference, bringing joy and happiness to the people around them.
And then, just as the market was closing, something magical happened. A group of carolers, dressed in festive costumes, appeared at the market, singing and dancing to the tune of “Jingle Bells.”
The four friends watched, mesmerized, as the carolers performed. And then, as they finished their song, the carolers began to hand out small gifts to the vendors and customers.
Lekan, Korede, Ayo, and Tunde watched in amazement as they received their gifts – small, exquisitely wrapped boxes containing a note and a small amount of money.
The note read: “Merry Christmas! May this small gift bring you joy and happiness. Remember, the true spirit of Christmas is giving and sharing with others.”
The four friends looked at each other, feeling a sense of wonder and gratitude. This was the best Christmas they had ever had.
And as they walked home, arm in arm, they knew that this Christmas would be one they would never forget.
