Fountain University is set to award scholarships to 190 deserving students across various departments, a significant leap from last year’s initiative that saw over 50 students benefit.
This development reflects the institution’s unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence and enhancing opportunities for its student community.
The scholarship awards ceremony is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024, corresponding to Rabiul Awwal 30th, 1446 AH. The event will be held at the Eti-Osa Lecture Hall at 2 PM.
Under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, Fountain University continues to champion initiatives that empower students. Recalling the success of the inaugural scholarship awards, Prof. Karim stated, “We are delighted to facilitate scholarships generously provided by five distinguished donors for over 150 students, in addition to the university’s commitment to supporting its scholars. Fountain University remains deeply committed to ensuring access to quality tertiary education for all students.”
Last year, the programme benefited 50 students, including 17 from the Arabic and Islamic Studies department. Building on that foundation, this year’s expanded initiative will see more students supported in their educational pursuits.
“These scholarships will enable our students to focus on their studies, pursue their passions, and make meaningful contributions to their communities,” Prof. Karim added, emphasizing the university’s dedication to creating pathways for student success.
The university community and the general public are warmly invited to attend the ceremony and celebrate this milestone in the university’s history.
