Samson Olalekan Ajao, the Guinness World Record holder for the longest marathon reading aloud, has once again demonstrated his commitment to fostering a robust reading culture among Nigerian youths.

Early this morning, Ajao encountered Faisat Musibau, a Junior Secondary School 2 student of Fortunate Foundation, Iwo Road, Ibadan, who was engrossed in a novel while riding in a tricycle.
Curious about her motivation, Ajao approached Faisat with a soft inquiry: “Why are you reading a book in the tricycle? Do you have an assignment you haven’t done?” Faisat confidently explained that she wasn’t reading to complete an assignment but simply because she loves reading.
The book she held, Beast Quest by Adam Blade, tells the story of a brave boy who rescues a beast and returns it to its habitat. Faisat’s detailed retelling of the plot impressed Ajao, who recognized her as a symbol of determination and intellectual curiosity. When asked about her aspirations, Faisat shared her dream of becoming a medical doctor, a goal she pursues with passion and clarity.
Moved by her story, Ajao offered encouragement and guidance, praising her for her dedication to reading and learning. “Meeting Faisat today reminded me of the incredible potential of Nigerian youth,” Ajao remarked. “With young minds like hers, the future of our country is undoubtedly in safe hands.”
