A voter, Omotayo Akinlami has asked that the Independent National Electoral Commission should allow Ondo voters to use manual accreditation to caat their votes.
Mr Akinlami, while speaking with the correspondent of the Guardian Newspaper said, the BVAS at his polling unit, is sluggish and lagging, taking up to 30 minutes to capture one person.
This becomes a source of worry for Mr Akinlami who said the polling unit has up to 1000 voters not yet cast their votes.
Mr Akinlami who is also a contractor and has not cast his vote, said INEC should allow the voters to do manual accreditation so as to cast their votes on time, criticizing the BVAS that is not working.
“I am a contractor. I have not been able to vote,” He said. “The system thy brought is not working if you can see the figure we’re more than 1000 here. So how do we do it when the system is spending up to 30 minutes to capture one person. This electronic accreditation is not working, is not good.”
