Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu officially sworn in Barrister Rekiya Olufunke Hassan as the new chairman of the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
This follows the unfortunate passing of the former chairman, Hon. Oladotun Olakanle, marking a pivotal moment in the region’s leadership.
Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of this transition, stating, “Today marks not only the continuation of good governance and leadership, but also the resilience of the people of the local council.”

Barrister Hassan brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as a supervisor for the Council’s Department of Agriculture and Social Services. Her background in these crucial areas is expected to bolster the council’s efforts in promoting sustainable development and social welfare within the community.
