In a striking critique, social activist Reno Omokri has taken aim at Peter Obi, igniting a conversation about economic policies and leadership accountability.
Omokri expressed his concerns through a powerful statement that highlights the potential pitfalls of Obi’s proposed economic strategies.
Quoting Obi, Omokri wrote, “I will first devalue the Naira, and then borrow money to defend the same Naira that I devalued.”
“Just imagine that! You are not borrowing money to build schools (someone who did not build a single school when he was Anambra Governor), roads, or power stations. But you are prepared to borrow money to defend the Naira that you yourself devalued,” Omokri declared.
His remarks were not only critical but also pointed out the inconsistency in Obi’s plans, emphasizing the lack of focus on vital infrastructure projects.
“And the annoying thing was that he was reading from a written script and still managed to sound so dense!” he added, underscoring his disbelief at the situation.
Omokri concluded with a strong sentiment, stating, “May Peter Obi never happen to Nigeria!”
