Police operatives have deployed tear gas to disperse a clash between tricycle and taxi drivers in Pansheke, Abeokuta South Local Government area of Ogun State.
The incident, which originated from a dispute over parking spaces at the local park, led to a violent altercation, according to vendors in Pansheke market.
Allegedly, the disagreement arose when the taxi drivers’ association demanded that tricycle operators vacate their designated area, citing concerns that the tricycles were impeding their ability to conduct business, a tricyclist who would not want to be named over the fear of not having the authority to speak, said.
Police, NSCDC Officers and Amotekun security operatives are currently mounting major corners of Pansheke to quell the attack.
