In a closely contested election that showcased the democratic spirit of the ILUSEC community, Otunba Oluwafemi Ajenifuja has been elected as the new 96 set Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT).
With a total of 6 votes, Ajenifuja emerged victorious over Barr Hamza Mutiu, who garnered 3 votes, while 2 votes were deemed void.
In the election for the position of Secretary, Hon. Olamilekan Oshinuga claimed victory with 5 votes, defeating Hon. Adebanjo Kazeem, who received 4 votes, and 2 votes that were also voided.
In his acceptance speech, Ajenifuja expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the members for their trust and support, stating, “Your votes signify not just a choice, but a shared vision for our community’s future.”
He emphasized the importance of collaboration among Board members and urged everyone to engage actively in discussions and decisions.
“I wish all the BoT Members a successful deliberation as we embark on this arduous task,” he added.
He emphasized his commitment to fostering unity and progress within the ILUSEC Family.
As the new leadership prepares to take the helm, there is a palpable sense of optimism and determination to address the challenges ahead and work towards the collective goals of the community.
