Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, has said the the State Government will slaughter 3000 cows every day at Imota area of the territory.
Speaking on the Channels Television, on Tuesday, Dr Hamzat said the plans for the State Government to slaughter 3,000 cows every day is to monitor “whatever comes in and out of Lagos.”
The state Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, said the State is building a logistic hub in imota which is expected to be used to monitor the State’s economy.
Dr Hamzat said, “we are building a logistic hub in Imota, the biggest in this part of the world. What that does for us is that it allows us to track what comes to Lagos,” he said.
“So Lagos interestingly will slaughter cows like 3,000 every day. So where are they coming from? How can we track it? Today, if anything happens, our veterinary doctors slaughter then and burn them up. But we need to do better.”
He also revealed the state government’s plans to stock grains for Lagos citizens at least for nine months.
