On Thursday, September 26, 2024, Shokunbi Primary School in Mushin celebrated a remarkable milestone—its 40th anniversary—during a festive event held on the school’s premises located on Shokunbi Street in the Ojuwoye area.
The celebration included a ceremony that honored individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to the school’s success over the years.
The event featured a series of awards presented to key supporters of the school, highlighting the collaborative efforts that have fostered its growth and development. Among the distinguished awardees was Hon Rasaq Olusola Ajala, the Chairman of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), who was represented by Hon Faiz Olayori Kadiri, the Supervisor for Education in the LCDA.
While accepting the award on behalf of Hon. Ajala, Hon. Kadiri expressed gratitude to the organizers for recognizing the Chairman’s contributions.
“The recognition accorded to the Chairman is appreciated, and the government of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA will continue to make the education of the children in our community a top priority,” he stated.
He further commended the organizers for the successful program and offered prayers for many more celebrations in the future.
In acknowledgment of his efforts, Hon. Ajala was honored as an Outstanding Chairman in Lagos State, underscoring his commitment to educational advancement within the community.
The event also saw the participation of the Parents Forum, an umbrella organization representing parents within the LCDA, who attended to show their support for the school and its ongoing efforts to enhance the educational experience for students.
