Team Lagos has made an indelible mark at the ongoing National Youth Games in Asaba.
The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter, Engr Ibrahim Adigun, has lauded the exceptional performance of the Lagos contingent, attributing their success to the unwavering support from the state leadership.
Speaking to reporters, Ibrahim Adigun declared, “Team Lagos is shining at the National Youth Games in Asaba.”
His words encapsulate the pride and admiration for the athletes who have elevated the state’s reputation through their outstanding achievements at the games.
Adigun did not hold back in expressing his appreciation for the critical role played by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He remarked, “Kudos to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for every support he has given to the Lagos Contingent.”
Adigun also extended his gratitude to the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Hon. Lekan Fatodu, whose leadership and strategic planning have been integral to the success of the athletes.
“The dedication and vision of Hon. Lekan Fatodu have been instrumental in steering the commission towards excellence,” Adigun noted. “His efforts in providing top-notch facilities and fostering a culture of athletic excellence cannot be overstated.”
The acknowledgments highlight the strategic investments and encouragement provided by the state government and Hon Fatodu, which have been pivotal in nurturing young talents and fostering a competitive spirit among the youths in Lagos.
