In a heartwarming display of appreciation, Fuji music star Saheed Osupa has captured the attention of social media with a viral video showcasing his generous gesture towards a devoted fan. The fan, identified as Asake Alalubosa, hails from Ibadan and became the center of attention after singing some of Osupa’s older tracks—where he infamously criticized fellow Fuji artistes Pasuma and Wasiu Ayinde.
Reflecting on the touching encounter, Saheed Osupa shared his thoughts:
“Some days ago, a woman identified as ‘Asake Alalubosa’ caught my attention with her expression of genuine love for me and my music. Without any doubt, you can tell that she’s a die-hard Osupa fan. Watching her funny and emotional interview gave me goosebumps. I, especially, felt so moved with her statement, ‘mo je Saheed Osupa Lowo. Emi Kinni Buruku ma naa Owo fun Saheed Osupa ti ba ni Owo,’ which translates to, ‘I owe Saheed Osupa, and will definitely spray him when God blesses me enough.'”
Motivated by Asake’s heartfelt words, Osupa decided to pay her a surprise visit at her shop located in Oje Market, Ibadan. He presented her with a cash gift, emphasizing the significance of this act:
“I found her worthy of my attention and appearance. So, I walked in to her shop to surprise and bless her with a token. I pray Almighty God bless the little seed and make it a new beginning for her.”
Osupa further added, “Asake is just one out of the millions of fans that are very optimistic about what the future holds for them, and are ready to spend their last kobo in appreciation of my artistic delivery and musical dexterity.”
This trader composed old tracks to invoke the time when Saheed Osupa were criticizing the sartorial choices of Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, as well as for his memorable tracks that took aim at Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, further solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the Fuji music scene.
