The Chairman of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Rasaq Ajala (HRA), has kick started the marking of qualifying examination scripts for his Free GCE Programme.
The marking exercise was officially inaugurated by the council boss, setting the tone with an inspiring address.
The conference marking took place in the Main Hall of the LCDA, following the successful conduct of the exams on Tuesday, 20th August 2024, at Ilupeju Grammar School, Oshodi.
“We are committed to ensuring transparency and merit in this selection process. Our goal is to uphold educational excellence and provide deserving students with the opportunities they need to succeed,” stated Hon. Ajala.
Several notable officials were also present. Among them were Hon. Seyi Jakande, Vice Chairman; Hon. Rilwan Ola Ajenifuja, Leader of the Legislative Arm of Government; Hon. Adeosun Haruna, Councillor for Ward A2; and Hon. Bode Adeosun, Councillor for Ward C1B.
Other dignitaries included Hon. Mujeeb Ayinde Daramola, Secretary to the LCDA; Hon. Faiz Olayori Kadiri, Supervisor for Education; Hon. Rodiat Ifeoluwa Jimoh, Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA); Adisa Ramon Babatunde, Supervisor for Youth and Sports; Hon. Kola Eludepo, Supervisor for Budget; and Hon. Abubakar Babatunde Ilyas, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
The presence of these key figures, along with several aides to the chairman, highlighted the LCDA unified effort towards a transparent and rigorous marking process.
This initiative aims to identify and select the most deserving candidates who will benefit from the Free GCE Programme, further preparing them for the General Certificate of Education (GCE) examination.
