Ahmed Ali Ahmed, the Commissioner for Finance in Borno State, was found dead in his room on Monday morning.
His lifeless body was discovered after his door was forcefully opened when he failed to appear at his usual time, raising immediate concern among his close associates.
According to sources, the late commissioner did not show up for his morning routine, prompting a search that led to the tragic discovery. “Oga is no more, he died early this morning,” a source disclosed to Daily Trust newspaper.
The Borno State Government has officially announced his passing. Professor Usman Tar, the Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, confirmed that the burial will be held today at 5:00 p.m. at the late commissioner’s family residence on Damboa Road, behind Indimi’s house, in Maiduguri.
This untimely demise marks the second loss of a cabinet member for Governor Babagana Zulum within a year, casting a shadow of mourning over the state’s administration.
