Ibrahim Adigun, the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has participated in the Youth Engagement Summit organised by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development.
The event also captured the inauguration of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Youth Engagement.
Adigun disclosed this via his Facebook page on Saturday August 24, 2024.
“We attended the Ministry of Youth and Social Development’s Youth Engagement Summit and Inauguration of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Youth Engagement!” Adigun wrote, highlighting the significance of the event.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Adigun revealed his new role within the TWG, which is chaired by the Commissioner of Youth and Social Development.
He noted that the committee comprises other dedicated and professional youth leaders, all working towards a common goal.
“I was inaugurated as a member of the TWG, chaired by the Commissioner of Youth and Social Development, alongside other dedicated professional youth,” he stated.
He outlined the TWG primary objectives, which include exploring youth policy and creating a comprehensive working document on youth engagement.
According to him, this document is intended to support the commendable initiatives of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu focused on youth development across Lagos State.
“Our committee is tasked with exploring the youth policy and creating a working document on youth engagement to support the laudable efforts of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu on youth development in Lagos State,” Adigun elaborated.
He also expressed his personal commitment to the cause, underscoring his dedication to leveraging his expertise and passion to ensure the success of the initiative.
“I’m committed to contributing my expertise and passion to ensure the success of this initiative. Together, we can drive meaningful change and empower the youth of Lagos!” Adigun concluded.
