The Chairman, Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA Hon Rasaq Olusola Ajala has congratulated the traditional institution and their adherents on the celebrations of Isese day.
Hon. Ajala stated: “The significance of today is very crucial to the traditional institution and the heritage of our people as whole
“Yoruba as a people are endowed with rich culture and values that have been transmitted from generations to generations
He noted, “It is very important to support the traditional institutions, the culture of our people and preserve our heritage.”
He extended his congratulatory message to Oba of Odiolowo, Oba Sikirulah Olamide Williams Osu Apena1 and all the traditional institutions in the LCDA.
He called on all the traditional institutions to pray fervently for the unity and peace of our LCDA, the state and the country at large.
“Despite the beliefs in the two major religions in our country, Islam and Christianity we must acknowledge the secular nature of our country to give everyone a sense of belonging to freely practicing the religion of their choices, hence the resolve to declare a public holiday for the traditional institution in our dear state
“While we rejoice on this day, I implore our people to ensure we celebrate with moderation
“I equally called on you to pray for our LCDA, our dear state and the country as a whole,” he concluded.
