Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has handed over a Certificate of Occupancy for 123.2 hectares of land to the Management of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Ugbomro (FUPRE),
The decision was made during a meeting with the management of the institution in the Government House in Asaba.
The delegation was led by His Royal Majesty Michael Omeru JP (CON), Ovie of Agbon Kingdom.
During the high-profile meeting, Governor Oborevwori formally handed over the certificate to the university’s delegation.
According to the governor, the land donation is earmarked for the development of a state-of-the-art research center, furthering FUPRE’s mission to advance petroleum resources education and research.
He lauded the Agbon Kingdom community for their invaluable contribution to the state’s progress by providing the land.
