Eshu, the trickster god, had been watching Sango and Oya’s secret trysts with great interest. He saw an opportunity to exploit their love for his own amusement and to stir up trouble in the divine realm.
With a mischievous grin, he began to whisper in the ears of the other gods, fueling their suspicions and doubts about Sango’s relationship with a mortal.
“Can a god truly love a mere mortal?” Eshu would ask, his voice like a gentle breeze on a summer’s day. “Is it not beneath Sango’s dignity to consort with one so… fragile?”
The gods and goddesses began to murmur among themselves, their discontent growing with each passing moment.
They consider Sango’s love for Oya as a weakness, a vulnerability that could be exploited by their enemies. And so, they demanded that Sango end his relationship with Oya, lest he face their wrath.
Sango, his heart thundering with defiance, refused to comply. He stood before the gods’ council, his eyes flashing with lightning, and declared his love for Oya to be pure and true.
“I will not abandon her,” he declared, his voice like thunder in the mountains. “For she is my heart, my soul, my everything.”
The gods and goddesses were taken aback by Sango’s boldness. They had not expected him to defy them so openly. And so, they unleashed their wrath upon him, summoning a storm of divine fury that shook the very foundations of the divine realm.
Oya, sensing the danger that Sango was in, rushed to his side, her mortal form trembling with fear. But Sango, his love for her burning brighter than ever, stood firm, his thunderous power protecting her from the gods’ wrath.
And so, the battle between Sango and the gods began, a battle that would shake the very foundations of the divine realm and determine the fate of their love forever.
