Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has taken action to address the challenges caused by recent blockages.
Operators have been directed to reactivate all lines that were disconnected over the weekend, considering the limited time available for consumers to verify their National Identification Numbers (NINs) with their SIMs.
Reactivated consumers are advised that this reactivation is only for a limited period.
This temporary measure aims to provide them with sufficient time to properly link their NINs to their SIMs.
To ensure uninterrupted access to their phone lines, members of the public who haven’t yet verified their SIMs are strongly encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
Reuben Muoka, Director of Public Affairs, emphasized the importance of this initiative in maintaining seamless communication for citizens.
