In response to recent misleading reports, Dangote Industries Limited, headquartered at the Leadway Marble House, Ikoyi, Lagos, has unequivocally denied allegations that its state-of-the-art refinery’s crude distillation unit (CDU) is facing operational issues and that the company is involved in reselling crude oil.
Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief, Branding and Communication Officer of Dangote Industries, issued a formal statement to address these unfounded claims. The statement clarifies that the Dangote refinery, which is a significant milestone in Nigeria’s industrial landscape, is neither authorized nor engaged in the resale of crude oil purchased from Nigeria. Furthermore, the CDU, a critical component of the refinery, is fully operational and performing optimally.
“We categorically deny these claims. The Dangote refinery is not authorized to sell crude oil purchased from Nigeria, and our CDU is fully operational and functioning optimally,” stated Chiejina. He urged the public to disregard the false narratives circulating in the media, attributing them to interests opposed to the local refining of fuels.
