In a determined bid to tackle the surge of armed criminal activities, the Anambra State Police Command has ramped up its offensive strategies under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam.
The state police force is undergoing rigorous training and retraining programs designed to enhance operational efficiency and augment skills in crime prevention.
On July 3, 2024, CP Itam led a group of police operatives to the shooting range, personally overseeing the ongoing training regimen. This initiative aims to bolster the courage and confidence of the officers, ensuring they are well-prepared to confront armed criminals and effectively respond to distress calls from the public.
CP Itam emphasized the Command’s unwavering commitment to public safety and the enforcement of law and order across Anambra State. He issued a stern warning to those involved in criminal activities, urging them to abandon their unlawful pursuits. The Police and other security agencies, he assured, are resolute in their mission to prevent any elements from disrupting the peace and security of the state’s residents.
