In a significant victory for security forces in Katsina State, a woman named Aisha Abubakar has been arrested for allegedly transporting ammunition to terrorist groups. The arrest was reported on Monday by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama.
Abubakar was caught during a routine search, where authorities discovered the ammunition concealed in her luggage. Initially, Abubakar denied any involvement in illegal activities. However, according to Makama, she eventually confessed to transporting the ammunition from Nassarawa State to a terrorist group.
“She initially denied involvement but later confessed to be transporting the ammunition to a terrorist group from Nassarawa State,” Makama revealed.
Further interrogation uncovered that Abubakar was en route to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State when she was apprehended.
Makama emphasized the broader implications of this arrest, noting, “The incident highlights the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and the importance of vigilance in preventing the proliferation of illegal weapons.”
