Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, the senator representing Lagos West, has distributed food items to residents across the 28 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in her district in anticipation of the Eid-al-Adha celebration.
On Thursday, the senator’s office on Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, was bustling with activity as residents from various parts of the community gathered to receive their share of the distribution.
Adebule emphasised that this gesture was aimed at mitigating the economic hardships faced by many families and ensuring that everyone could partake in the festivities.
She reaffirmed her dedication to the welfare of her constituents and indicated that such initiatives would be a regular aspect of her tenure.
Addressing the assembled crowd, Adebule, represented by Hon Rasaq Ajala, stated, “Eid-al-Adha is a time of giving and sharing. It is important that we support each other, especially in times of need. I am dedicated to serving you and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every corner of Lagos West.”
Recipients expressed their gratitude for the timely intervention, noting the significant impact of the rising cost of living on their daily lives.
One beneficiary, Mrs. Shukra Abdulah, remarked, “This support means a lot to my family. It’s not just about the food items; it’s about the care and concern shown by our representative.”
The distribution included not only bags of rice but also cash gifts, providing comprehensive relief to the beneficiaries.
