The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command has successfully apprehended a suspected traffic robber and two suspected vandals in two separate operations this week.
On May 29, 2024, RRS operatives arrested Hakeem Badamosi, a 29-year-old ex-convict, in Ketu. Badamosi was caught attempting to rob a passerby of his mobile phone. Armed with a machete and charms, Badamosi tried to flee the scene but was swiftly captured with the help of eyewitnesses.
In a separate incident on May 26, 2024, two young men, Jeremiah Odika, 20, and Aaron Gabbis, 19, were apprehended in the Alausa Business District, Ikeja. The suspects were caught red-handed while removing a road signpost.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects included a machete, charms, and the stolen signpost. All suspects have been charged to court.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Command, confirmed the arrests and subsequent charges, reinforcing the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.
