In a swift and coordinated response, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) today joined forces with policemen from the Ipaja Police Division and other divisions under Area P Command to thwart an attack by commercial motorcycle operators on the Ipaja Division in Lagos State.
The incident unfolded as the operators attempted to overrun the Ipaja Division, prompting an immediate call for reinforcement.
The timely arrival of additional police units forced the attackers into a hasty retreat.
During the operation, law enforcement impounded over 200 motorcycles, significantly disrupting the aggressors’ efforts.
The RRS patrol teams, under the directive of CSP Yinka Egbeyemi, Commander of the Rapid Response Squad, remain stationed in the area to ensure ongoing peace and order.
The Lagos State Taskforce also played a crucial role in the operation, further strengthening the security presence and support in Ipaja.
