In a grand traditional ceremony, Adewale Akolade Oladele from the Omoteji Family in Idi-Arere, Isalẹ Ijebu, Ibadan, has been named the new Ààrẹ Alásà of Faruku Land in Soka, Ibadan.
The event, held on Saturday, was presided over by Baálẹ̀ Idi Mongoro Faruku Land, Kazeem Bello Olapoju.
Oladele’s ascension to the title is a significant honour, bestowed upon him and others from fifty-one villages under the supervision of Baálẹ̀ Olapoju.
The Omoteji Family expressed pride and joy at this recognition, which marks a new chapter in their long-standing tradition of leadership and service.
According to the Secretary of Omoteji Family, Imam Saheed Oladele, this title is not static but part of a progressive tradition.
Watch the coronation ceremony here.
“After about three months, those qualified will receive new titles, and current titleholders like Oladele will be promoted,” explained Imam Oladele.
The secretary maintained that this system ensures continuous growth and advancement within the traditional hierarchy until title holders reach the position of Baálẹ̀.
As the new Ààrẹ Alásà, Oladele will serve as the custodian of traditional activities in Faruku Land, coordinating rites and representing his community.
His role is crucial in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the region.
Looking ahead, the current Baálẹ̀, Kazeem Bello Olapoju, is also poised for elevation. There is an assurance from the state government that he will soon be crowned king, marking another milestone in the leadership structure of Faruku Land.
The community looks forward to a prosperous future under Oladele’s leadership and the anticipated coronation of Baálẹ̀ Olapoju as king.
☝️FRAUDLENT PICTURE TO MISLEAD THE PUBLIC!!!
Our attention has just been drawn to the above picture/post on an event that occurred at Soka recently.
We the good family of Omoteji, Isale jebu, Idi Arere area hereby wish to make it known to the entire public that Adewale (who featured bowing down on the right side of the picture) does not have the mandate of the family to receive such chieftaincy title and so did not represent our family in this regards.
The most disturbing issue is that our investigation revealed that he personally did not even attend the occasion hence the picture posted is suspicious. In actual fact, it is a FRAUD because it is a merger of two different pictures (photoshopped). A careful look at the picture shows the distinctive line joining his picture taken separately with different background to that one taken by another person who was rejoicing with the chiefs after his enthronement. Anyone can checkout the difference in the focuses, the resolutions and the clearity of both sides of the picture to reconfirm. And, if indeed he was installed by any Baale as a local chief in the Baale’s immediate community, note that the Mogaji of Omoteji or the entire good people of Omoteji family were not involved and never approved of such.
This therefore points to the fact that Adewale is so desperate to become a chief by all means (without the blessings of the Omoteji family) after realizing that he and his brother Saheed stand suspended as Baale-elect and Secretary-elect for their various unruly actions against the family and the residents of Omoteji estate. Apparently, he Adewale is just strugling to make himself relevant so that he could continue his neferious acts (with his cliques of Land-grabers) on and around our family land.
Too bad for him 👎🏼 that this attempt to mislead the public and create a wrong perception of our esteemed family with an edited picture shall be escalated to the necessary authorities. He and all of those who are hailing/supporting him should be prepared to face the consequences soon.
