The Igbogbo Bayeku Local Council Development Area (IB LCDA) witnessed the inaugural meeting of The Mandate Movement (TMM) across its five wards, marking a significant step in mobilising local support and strategy ahead of the 2025 local government elections.
The meetings were led by the Coordinator of TMM in Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA, Mr Oluyemisi Odusoga, on Wednesday May 15, 2024.
At the meetings, Odusoga distributed essential materials, donated by Hon Monsor Kolejo, to each of the five wards. The materials included TMM flex banners, register books, and attendance books equipped with pens.
According to the coordinator, this proactive approach signifies the commitment to organising and engaging members within the community.

“With gratitude, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Hon Monzor Kolejo on behalf of the executives and all members of The Mandate Movement Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA for his generous donation,” Odusoga said.
He stated, “The simultaneous commencement of meetings across the wards, including C5 Elepe, C4 Ibeshe (encompassing Bayeku, Oreta, and Offin), C2 Igbogbo, and C1 Igbogbo, is a coordinated effort under the directive of the State TMM (The Mandate Movement Apex).”
He explained that the meetings kicked off promptly at 4 p.m. as instructed by the state-level leadership.
The core agenda of these ward-level Mandate Movement meetings revolves around the selection of ward officers and the development of mobilisation strategies to strengthen membership within the movement.
With an eye toward the 2025 local government elections, discussions were centered on consolidating support and fostering unity within the party.
During his engagements, Mr. Odusoga personally visited meetings held in wards C1 and C2, which convened at 1 Adeseye Ogunlewe Street in Igbogbo.
His presence emphasised the importance of grassroots participation and cohesion in advancing the objectives of the Mandate Movement.
Addressing members in Offin ward, Mr. Odusoga reiterated the unity and coherence of the Mandate Movement.
He emphasised, “No division, no controversy; we are one under the leadership of Cardinal James Odunbakun (Baba Eto).”
Odusoga added that “The national scope of the renewed Mandate Movement, is firmly rooted under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
