The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Obasa, has commended the International Inner Wheel District 911 and 912 in Lagos for their dedicated service and humanitarian efforts to the less privileged.
He stated this during a peace rally held at the Lagos Assembly, Alausa Complex, to mark the organization’s 100th anniversary of friendship and service to the people of Lagos State.
Hon. Prince Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya (Representative of Mushin Constituency I) and Hon. Rasheed Shabi (Representative of Lagos Mainland II) welcomed the Inner Wheel members on behalf of the Speaker.
Speaking on behalf of the Speaker, Hon. Prince Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya, Chairman of the House Committee on Public Account (Local), assured the organization of the Assembly’s continuous support.
He emphasized the leadership’s commitment to ensuring that every citizen benefits from the state’s good governance.
“The Lagos State House of Assembly sets a standard of excellence that is above all. Let me first say congratulations and a happy 100th anniversary. I wish you the best of luck,” said Akinsanya
He encouraged them to continue their great work and assured them of the Speaker’s support. “Rest assured that my boss, the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Dr. Obasa, will not rest but will strive to do more. We will ensure your message reaches the Speaker.”
At the start of the rally, PDC Adejumoke Anike Odulaja explained that the purpose was to gather support for the organization and have a greater impact on the less privileged in Lagos State.
She expressed gratitude to the government for their ongoing support and called for continued partnership to further assist those in need.
“We have been transforming lives and working closely with the government to improve the lives of the less privileged. Women all around the world are celebrating the 100th year since the establishment of the International Inner Wheel,” said Odulaja.
