A raging fire has swept through Gwarzo Market in the Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano State, leaving in its wake a trail of destruction with 22 shops reduced to ashes.

The zonal information officer of the local government, Rabiu Khalil, reassured the public that despite the extensive damage, there were no injuries or lives lost in the unfortunate incident.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Khalil detailed the severity of the blaze, emphasizing the tireless efforts of the State Fire Service personnel who battled the flames for hours.
The fire was eventually brought under control on Monday morning.
Saminu Abdullahi, the Kano State Fire Service Public Relations Officer, corroborated the details, confirming that a total of 22 shops were affected, with two of them remaining uncompleted.
