Enthusiastic residents of Odi-Olowo-Ojuwoye LCDA have hailed Hon Rasaq Ajala (HRA), describing him as the man of the people.
The residents commended the chairman for meticulously organizing yuletide package to spread excitement during the Christmas celebration.
This benevolent initiative, exemplifying the spirit of the season, was executed by Mrs Muyibat Kehinde Ajala, the wife of the LCDA chairman.
The distribution took place on Friday, December 22, 2033, marking the culmination of the council’s end-of-year programme.
Tailored to benefit 2000 residents, the package was thoughtfully curated, encompassing live chickens, rice, and an array of other essential food items.
This philanthropic endeavour not only reflects the LCDA’s commitment to the well-being of its constituents but also amplifies the positive sentiment towards Honorable Rasaq Ajala’s potential governorship.
While addressing the audience at the event, Mrs Muyibat Ajala emphasized that “Christmas is a season of love and generosity.”
She added, “You have to consider other people around you, especially in a season like this.”
When providing guidance to the residents on Christmas celebrations, she urged, “I implore everyone to be law-abiding. They should tidy up their surroundings and celebrate in moderation. Above all, let’s be prayerful.”
Hon Seyi Jakande appreciates HRA
The LCDA Vice-Chairman, Hon. Seyi Jakande, expressed his appreciation for HRA, highlighting that conducting transformative programmes to aid residents has consistently been a hallmark of his administration.
“Hon. Rasaq Ajala recently introduced the sale of subsidized chickens, spreading the joy of Christmas celebrations among the residents,” remarked Hon. Seyi.
In addition, he stated, “Today’s programme is a further testament to the administration’s commitment to various impactful initiatives. Each participant will receive a live chicken, a 5-kilogram bag of rice, and other complementary packages.”
When evaluating HRA’s governance, Jakande affirmed, “This government truly connects with the people, allowing the chairman to meet expectations. It is reshaping the narrative around Mushin, which is truly commendable.”

Pastor Akinsanya Olatunji, one of the leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Branch, lauded and offered prayers for Chairman Ajala. He affirmed, “Christians, Muslims, and traditionalists alike are pleased with this administration.”
“This afternoon, everyone is joyous to be here, sharing smiles of gratitude. The package has sparked excitement among us all,” expressed Pastor Olatunji.
Additionally, he emphasized, “This generous initiative stems from the benevolence of Honorable Rasaq Ajala, the Chairman of Odi-Olowo-Ojuwoye LCDA. He has unequivocally demonstrated that he is a true man of the people and has performed exceptionally well once again.”
HRA’s Address
In his address, Hon. Rasaq Ajala expressed gratitude to God for the success of all activities, programmes, and events organized in 2023.
He extended appreciation to residents, council staff, and leaders for their support.
During his address, the chairman seized the opportunity to highlight the various programmes and projects executed throughout the year.
“Our administration has implemented numerous initiatives to benefit LCDA residents. A notable example is the free health mission that assisted 952 residents, including primary school pupils, who will receive complimentary eye surgery,” stated Ajala.
He emphasized that these initiatives were designed to alleviate financial burdens for the beneficiaries and their families.
Furthermore, Hon. Rasaq Ajala elaborated, “We organized quiz and debate competitions among students in all public schools within the LCDA. This initiative aimed to ensure that our students competently engage with their counterparts in private schools, fostering healthy competition and instilling confidence in them.”
The chairman also highlighted recent initiatives such as the “trash for gas” programme, enabling residents to exchange trash for gas cylinders.
Additionally, he mentioned the ICT training programme for students both within and outside the LCDA.
HRA proudly announced, “Outstanding participants were awarded laptops and cash prizes during their graduation ceremony.”
Today’s event was attended by political leaders, clergymen, traders, artisans, and residents.
