In the early hours of today at approximately 5:00 a.m., the vigilant operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) successfully apprehended two individuals in the act of stealing fabricated metal drainage covers along Freedom Way, Ikate, Lekki.
This incident marks another instance of the RRS commitment to maintaining law and order within the city.
The two suspects, identified as Jubreel Haruna (29) and Adewale Rabiu (27), were caught red-handed as they attempted to load the stolen drainage covers into a mini bus commonly referred to as a “korope.”
The vehicle in question bore the registration number KTU 45 YD, which aided in their quick identification.
Upon their arrest, the suspects were promptly taken into custody by the RRS officers and transported to the nearby police station for further questioning and processing.

In accordance with the directives of Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, the two suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.
