The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Hon Olusesan Daini, has distributed 3000 palliative packs to vulnerable residents within the LCDA.
While speaking about the initiative at his office today, Daini disclosed that it was part of the LCDA Food Bank Initiative.
“Today, I disbursed 3,000 palliative packs from the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Food Bank Initiative to the most vulnerable residents of our community,” the chairman said.
He added, “I am pleased to announce that this intervention will run for the next six month.”
He maintained that the call for the palliative care programme was necessitated from the hardship our people are facing after the fuel subsidy removal.
“We understand the situation of things and we have initiated this programme to show the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA that we care about them and we are ready to support them,” the chairman concluded.
